Discussion
Money has a limited function.
#Bitcoin will fix a lot, but you can't expect it to fix everything ?
I appreciate your response and it makes me think more broadly.
When I hear #Bitcoin evangelists I am always perceiving the idea that #Bitcoin can or will take away the burden that governments or financial institutions like the Fed for example, place on everyone. I just donβt see how that can be?
Bitcoin is "just" sound, decentralized money.
Hard capped is another worthwhile aspect π
As such it prevents you to be affected by inflation or being subjected to not being able to transact to or from anyone you would like to/from.
That are first order effects.
A other things take more time to think through.
Like how it will effect banks/governments if their printing fiat capabilities are taken away.
The first order effects are for people individually.
Most other effects are humanity wide.
It will literally change the world we know, it just takes time.
I most appreciate your take and explanation on this.
I often look at Bitcoin as something people are taking too god damn long to adopt, when in reality I should see the value of the impact it will eventually have on all of us, especially on future generations.
Most people have a way too short, fiat, time frame in mind.
But generations ahead could well be the opposite take π
If I see what has changed in those ~16 years #Bitcoin has been around, I wonder where we will be just another 16 years from now ?
It could surprise us both !
Let's just fight/support for that better world, it can't come fast enough !
Absolutely!
