Yeah it's not very modular so it expects you to run a mint, a relay, a core node, a liquid node, a CLN lightning node and a web server and api server. The config is a mess and documentation is lacking and outdated. Been meaning to improve the install process for ages but I never seem to get around to it.

Any specifics as to why it needs core lightning and not lnd? Which parts need adaptation to make that configurable?

why would you want to use lnd over cln

I already have a docker setup that runs a node and lnd so i figured it might be easier to make a small adaptation to fit coinos on top lf that instead. I could also run both cln and lnd of course or maybe have another look at cln.

It's been running for so long that i never really looked back to cln. I think it's been 2 or 3 years and from what i remembered lnd had more supported wallets and was easier to setup.

I used to support both but dropped lnd a while ago just to keep the code cleaner. If you grep for "ln\." you'll see all the API calls to CLN

Got it, i'll have another look at cln, maybe it's time to ditch lnd anyway.
