My wife says bitcoin is not fair because a single tweet from Elon Musk can manipulate the price and rich people will get richer because they can manipulate it.

I've tried to explain to her that the fiat money system is far more unfair, but she doesn't agree. She won't listen either, because she's not that interested in the subject.

It's frustrating. I envy those who have partners who understand bitcoin.

Well, the difference is that Elon Musk got a lot richer because of the covid money printing orgy because of the Cantillon effect and normal people didn't. Anyone can buy bitcoin and will get richer if Elon pumps up the price of bitcoin. He also won't increase his wealth by the same amount by pumping bitcoin as with the money printer. So I think it’s fair to say bitcoin is fairer than the fiat money system. So although I get that there is a bit of truth in her argumentation it’s important to recognise that nothing is a 100% fair in life. Life is unfair. But Bitcoin is the fairest money we have imo

Yeah you are both right but the dollar does not screw people over as much as Crypto in terms of value. Crypto barely seen growth in years.
