Buy an old dictionary.

A dictionary is like a history book for words and in these days where so many fear the written or spoken word, a record of what words actually mean.

So go out and buy an old dictionary, a big 80's or 90's edition from a second hand or charity store, it'll cost a few bucks.

Use it, read it (you may learn a few new, fun words) or just put it behind your livestream to look more intellectual, but have it.

I also quite like this dictionary I have 'dictionary of difficulty words:. Fun to go to a random page and word. Specialist dictionaries in general too.

For sure, I've got a few dictionaries of specific things, dictionary of chemistry for example. Really valuable.

Books are very important as a permanent record in a time where history is easily rewritten on the internet.

My thoughts exactly. If you're involved in a culture war, you better have some ammo.

I buy albums on vinyl for similar reasons.

Yes, I worry film and music will be censored or changed too, I read a writer is rewriting some of her books to suit the current thing.
