Bitcoin creates unlimited demand for energy. Nostr creates unlimited demand for data bandwidth and speed 😂

Yes nostr uses a lot of data but if it is the new internet it may be a sign that each person's data pipeline must increase in capacity to fully utilize the next generation of the nostr-powered web.

We can optimize and cache, but also maybe we should embrace it?

Been thinking along the same lines.

What I like is that both are true.

Bitcoin incentives the use of godly amounts of energy BUT also enables ecash, which uses close to zero energy at the individual level.

Nostr needs bandwidth, computation etc like crazy BUT also enables efficiency at the individual level that centralised, but separate, silos cant.
