Congrats! I'm hoping to start this year. What equipment are you running? Where'd you get it?
If you’ve never tried #homemining, I highly suggest it. Puzzle solving and constant learning. Man, after hours trying to troubleshoot I’m finally back hashing!
For a non-tech guy it was definitely a learning experience figuring out what static IPs, DHCP, etc are and how to work through issues to get back set up and hashing.
Pretty stoked and you feel like those few little sweat-sats are that much more precious. And a room is nice and toasty again.
Thanks nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 for the putting me on the right path (you were right! just took forever for me to work through my network to do it), and nostr:npub16vrkgd28wq6n0h77lqgu8h4fdu0eapxgyj0zqq6ngfvjf2vs3nuq5mp2va (Braiins toolbox is awesome…didn’t have it before)
The #Bitcoin and #nostr community are amazing. ⚡️

Thank you! I started last summer but ran into some IP issues after shutting down last week. Back online again!
It’s well worth the experience and super cheap right now for S9s (like…less than 80 bucks), which if you’re in the US like me, are nice since you can run them on a normal 110V outlet.
If you buy from nostr:npub1q4zl8v0cpeu0lv47msq2z0jpkr2q3wq5d4ukylxg9sx7t7rcz0uq5ftv7q they come with everything you need (can just message them on Telegram), including Braiins OS firmware, where you can underclock (like I do 800 watts instead of 1400) to save on energy bill but still get heat. Still about 10 TH/s hash rate.
Only makes like a dollar/1.50 USD a day, and lose about that in energy…but well worth the fun in learning and heat in the winter…plus being able to contribute to the network/get some sats :)
If you try it out can always reach out to folks here for help if issues…everyone has been incredibly helpful getting set up!
nostr:npub1jpa95gmrt6szhczjcv05vkces2h0kat8zrxvna3g4gcmwrfwychqaxtsa4 Y’all check out Loki modified miners like “The Urlacher” from Altairtech.io . It’s an S19K Pro modified to run at a lower wattage to allow for 110 v mining (for Americans). Some of the best specs I can find without enough tech knowledge to do it yourself or spending money to mess with your breakers/electrical to get 220v.
“The Urlacher”
$2300
56T Hashrate
1200 watts
53 dB
Sick!! That’s amazing. Bookmarked and will check it out. Thank you for sending!
