I am not saying Elon is doing a good job or something but this Bots thing will be also an issue for NOSTR in the Future (or maybe even now I don't know). I saw something like "I am not A bot" but don't know how you prevent bots verifying each other. #[0]

The thing is no one is jumping ship. People are still drinking the Twitter Kool-aid.

Network effects take longer to unwind than people realize - (similar to US dollar) but because that system gets weaker as this gets stronger….it is inevitable.

As business models evolve on #Nostr b/c it is #Bitcoin native, bots will be a much easier problem to solve versus KYCing an entire audience and trying to build changing rules as artificial intelligence advances.

Here: tiny zaps over time could be the filter to prevent spam.

It's presently "bitcoin native" purely due to the founding parties involved. But as an open protocol, the shitcoiners can begin making apps that do not use Lightning, but that our own clients will still interface with. I'm not sure how reliant I'd be on thinking zaps can thwart bots here in the future.

Zappr enters the room.

I’m all seriousness, yeah that’s an option, especially if the user can set the threshold on the zap amount they want to filter by

This actually makes sense, Micheal Saylor was explaining a similar idea as Orange Tick during the pre-Elon Twitter times.

So I zapped you as a proof of my existence =) It is really great and surreal in a way for me to get in touch and ask question to Jeff Booth. Thanks for the answer.

Is it correct to say nostr is bitcoin native, Jeff?

I'm thinking it's its own protocol, but the app devs have included zap functions that use #bitcoin.

If they were proper shitcoiners maybe they would've made a shitcoin functionality instead?

Even now, a shitcoiner could make a nostr client where you can zapp Greenpeace coin, no?

🤙🏼
