I just realized the politic theater surrounding "nuclear winter" is essentially identical to the perceived events of a geomagnetic shift.

Might these evil governments launch their nuclear weapons at the beginning of the catastrophic events of the shift so as to try and achieve an advantaged position when coming out of the shift? 🤯

In this scenario, primary targets would be the underground facilities that governments have been building. Greenbriar, Denver Airport, etc. Above ground targets would be soft targets for natural shift catastrophies and an otherwise waste of a nuclear bomb.
