I love them both but for totally different reasons, and they are not remotely equal.

Alien is a masterpiece of art. 9.4

Aliens is a great sci-fi movie. 7.9

Alien is clearly superior in cinematography and story telling, but Aliens is a better action movie. I can't decide which has more rewatchability.

Aliens is the type of movie I put on while I do a focus minimized activity, but Alien always draws my total attention.
