Nobody knows. All I know for a fact is that the last time Germany sent auditors to Fort Knox to audit the German reserves they were denied access. As a response Germany then demanded "some" of the gold being returned to the Bundesbank. Months later Germany received a fraction of what they demanded but here's the cool thing, the gold bars came from France, not the US and they didn't bear the Bundesbank stamps.

So yeah, show us the gold.

Huh.. so France was the only country that managed to get its good back from the US?

I don't know about that. All I'm saying is that the gold returned to Germany wasn't part of the gold they deposited. You'll find the story online. It happened a few years ago.
