Hello people of #nostr. I have an old raspberry pi 3 B+ and I was thinking about making it a #bitcoin node. As I was reading more on the internet I saw that many people were recommending using an old computer instead. What kind of specs would you recommend me?

Doesn't take much. 8GB ram and 2tb ssd is enough.

What happens if it is less that 8GB of ram. Is it not recommended or not feasible?
It would be slow, and heating components more
Has to do with the size of utxo set I think. If bigger it has to fall back to the hard drive and raspberry pis couldnt keep up and were failing.
