Considering most action in the space is sponsored by VCs they might want more control eventually. They won't get it in bitcoin. That's when a bitcoin VC fork could happen. At leas that is my understanding of his point. It agrees the market chose bitcoin for now. It doesn't mean that bitcoin as it is will work for selling jpegs for ever.

There's more VC funding in Lightning than there is in Ordinals. Where is the moral panic about a lightning fork of bitcoin?
I believe there is a lower panic for 2 reasons. 1) lightning it is a second layer. 2) it is not as new as ordinals. But some of the softfork proposals, as CTV are justified by lightning shortcomings.
There is 3rd one. Most bitcoiners agree we need to scale bitcoin. I am not even sure what utility inscriptions have.
