Humm, I wonder if they'll have any ability to protect themselves? Would it simply block your attacks, run away, or just record its demise?

Protect, block for sure (if only) Look at their extensions we call "hands" and compare it to humans... these are not designed to simply carry groceries

Probably to replace human at most labour as well (which I'm hope for...)

Yeah, the hands are impressive. They'll be capable of anything a human can do and more. They had a standalone hand on display demonstrating its full range of motion.
