Not true my son set up a scientific experiment and you catch more flies with vinegar.
Results :
1. Coke
2. Vinegar
3. Honey
4. Fly catch strips
Coke and vinegar were close but miles ahead of the others.

You’re right. If you want to catch fruit flies apple cider vinegar and dish soap in a cup work phenomenally … so maybe the adage should say something like:
People prefer sweetness to bitterness
… or sweet girls will find a husband before bitter bitches… idk 😂🤣
The actual phrase is: bees don’t waste time convincing flies that honey is better than shit… but that’s a lot to say
