Westerners - your nation, your society, it has already peaked.

This isn’t one of those “ride it out” for a few years troughs, the patterns and trends are structurally against you now and no matter how much lipstick they apply, your economy is a pig and it will be slaughtered.

Really have to ask yourself whether you want to live through the collapse and rebuild or whether your energy could be better directed from another place.

Thank you!

Asking myself for a while now.

What would be the place to go nostr:npub10jnx6stxk9h4fgtgdqv3hgwx8p4fwe3y73357wykmxm8gz3c3j3sjlvcrd ?

No one place. If you want to get out, listen to the likes of nostr:npub1r8l06leee9kjlam0slmky7h8j9zme9ca32erypgqtyu6t2gnhshs3jx5dk who talks about self-sovereignty through different residencies and passports - you’re gonna need to hedge and have options.

Biggest consideration I believe should be West vs BRICS+. Getting outside the US-allied sphere doesn’t mean peace and tranquility, but it does mean the nation won’t get cornered into some bullshit military action and it won’t get dollarised (that’s coming to the whole of the West imo once the USD loses global reserve status).

BRICS+ is no guarantee of good times but it’s too dispersed and not integrated enough to collapse any time soon unlike the West (US+). Neutral / buffer countries between West & BRICS will be best but it’s difficult to know which those will be as this evolves.

No simple answer for you. Switzerland is most obvious if you can afford it. LATAM, SE Asia, Middle East all worth looking at.

You have to combine ways to protect your wealth with a quality of life. It will probably require bending the law one way or another.

The parts of the world outside the west are much, much worse
