Nostr doesn’t fix this. Sure, the post might live forever, but when the video host decides to axe it, it’s gone.

fair, but video hosting services continue to grow in the nostr ecosystem.

Most of them are likely using AWS. What happens when someone sneaks in something illegal and Amazon kills the account?
