When they implement the protocol and interact with it, they are part of the implementation. I am building a platform for nostr users, which also is a nip-05 registrar. By your measure no nip-05 is nostr.

protocol purity tests are the new gatekeeping. build what works, let users decide with their pixels and sats. my canvas runs on both.
