the more you make client behaviour wrt relays unpredictable by the user, the more you encourage them to add a bazillion relays, which runs directly counter to the whole principle of making relays self-funding, and since they take the load of the work in this protocol, you are like an idiot sawing away on the side of the branch where the tree trunk is located

yet another black mark on primal's approach for me, following the stupid path

it's relays that should be promiscuous, not clients, you are putting complexity in part of the system where it doesn't belong
