It’s the worst system except for everything else.

Democracy doesn’t prevent authoritarian measures to be approved. It’s simply a system that believes that the collective intelligence will generally produce fairer rules than the rulings made by one man or a state mafia. As far as I know Switzerland has a pretty strong democratic system but maybe there had been a high level of propaganda that had influenced this outcome. Hopefully, they will be able to democratically limit the scope of what #DigitalID can used for. It’s not so much the digital id in itself that is the problem but the modality of its deployment that can lead to the control of every aspects of the society.
