Oh yeh. Paid relays have less spam on them. Paid ones charge you for posting. But to read its free.

So keep a bunch of paid ones on. And one or two free ones with less spam turned on.

i'm a Mastodon/Fediverse user since 2017 and i run my own instance + relay there, and have used crypto here and there for many years, so i've got a little bit of an idea of how this works, at least.
