Wrong, capitalism has nothing to do with free markets. Capitalism cannot exist in a “free market”.

No, you probably can’t tell me one company or a time period where capitalism was successful.

No, it’s not subjective.

If you are referring to United States as socialism failing, that is also incorrect. US does not operate under socialism.

Yah we have different definitions of what capitalism is. What is your definition?

Capitalism according to Adam Smith is a system of economics where the core tenets are:

Private Property

Self interests

Limited government interference/regulation

This is according to Adam Smiths ideas.

Yah so when I said free markets, that's limited interference.

Oh, well “free markets” and “limited interference/regulation are two totally different things.

I don't think they are.

How old are you? They are different. Joe can you confuse “free” and “limited regulation”. It’s literally in the names.

Hmm yeah they're not. Free markets need regulation. Otherwise it reduces down to mob rule.

Free markets are fundamental for capitalism to be most effective

Why is it that I answer every question you ask me but you don’t answer my questions?

Which questions haven't I addressed?

What do socialists want? Have you read pro socialist material?

Generally what they want is control of the market. Everything else stems from that. I have read quite a bit yes

Socialism wants ownership of the means of production and resources to be owned by everyone, not corporations like Walmart.

It also believes in community and everyone working together so that no one goes without and no one exploits.

If you don't think the US operates at least partially under socialism you're buying into leftist propaganda.

Oh no, it definitely has some social programs. I will never deny that. You are buying into the “far right” Stockholm Syndrome stuff.

I don't really get the reference to Stockholm Syndrome. But if it's far right to say that the US is in the weeds of socialism then I'm far right
