I wish it was possible to get a new car that didn't have all of the automatic controls. Things like backup cameras and audible lane change warnings can be handy, but I don't want anyone else controlling my car. Not AI. Not the government. Not a hacker.
Yes government is totally ruining cars and the whole driving experience with all of their mandates.
This is usually pushed by people who lost loved ones in car crashes who are advocating for stricter controls.
Or by people who make more money from the advanced features mandated.
Slowly adding more and more smart features makes it easier for the government to track our movement and will make it easy for the government to eventually control our cars and therefore our freedom to travel.
I guess we will have to walk more now
