From what I gather, hes Canadian (mentions New Brunswick), and wherever it is that he lives doesnt have code and zoning crap, so he's hiding his face for some other reason. I would guess he's in an extremely rural part of Canada where it's so unpopulated there's nobody to really care about it. Judging by the pitch and material of his roofs since he mentions snow load, and he mentions climate a little and ferns in the woods, and he mentions the beach a few times, I'd say hes somewhere near the coast in BC. Coastal BC is pretty populated for Canada, mostly in the south, so northern BC close to the Alaska border would be my guess.
