Shampoo is not soap, its detergent. Big difference. Use bar soap on your hair, if you have hard water do a quick rinse with diluted vinegar to get the soap out.

That sounds like too much maintenance, I just don’t want greasy, itchy head and short of shaving it all off I’ll just continue getting the cheapest all in one hair cleaner
