It was never really a bitcoin mining paradise exactly.
Just blame #bitcoin miners, me thinks the real problem is a corrupt and incapable government. The electricity grid in Venezuela has faced significant challenges, including systematic underinvestment and poor maintenance. The country's heavy reliance on the Guri Dam for hydroelectric power has made it vulnerable, especially during droughts that reduce water levels necessary for power generation. Additionally, a lack of technical expertise due to a brain drain, coupled with allegations of corruption, has exacerbated the situation, leading to severe power outages and electricity rationing.
