The world is going nuts! They tested population during the scam pandemic for their weakness and realized that the majority are weak
But people are awakening slowly, that's the effect of the pandemic. Trust in gvnmts has been completely lost and can't be reestablished

The amount of storage needed for all the data is epic. Just the devices people have on their person and in their homes, logging every aspect of their lives is mind boggling.
The digital prison is so safe, easy and convenient, and no one would be interested in their data. They've got nothing to hide.
It's no wonder NPCs are so easy to produce and control.
Makes 1984 look like Green Eggs and Ham.
