If you still have the need for banking services like me... Local credit unions are the way to go.

You can find ones that not only have no fees for checking but will pay you a share each month (if you use your debit card x amount of times).

You generally need decent credit to get an account with one (or someone to vouch for you) but are worth it if you can finagle it.
