Any options for privacy respecting streaming location sharing? I know that seems counterintuitive. I want to share with my wife when I'm wandering around in the woods alone, I want that sharing just between us and properly encrypted.

Meshtastic will do that if you have it properly set up. It has somewhat limited range, though.
Okayish for wandering off in a campground. Useless if I go drive into the woods to go for a hike from home.
APRS isn't private amd limits my #hamradio options while hiking to less physically hardened radios than my goto for backwoods vx-6r.
I was hoping for something like google maps location sharing but e2ee between devices.
