It is breathtaking how much Bitcoin attracts the best people.

Most of my life, most of my friends were books. It could have taken me a decade or two to know the wonderful people that I know now, but because of the pull of Bitcoin (and Nostr), I hardly had to try.

When you see the same north star as other people, all the barriers of distrust that you would otherwise be carrying melt away. There is, of course, a whole universe in every one of us, and yet, the minute that you meet another Bitcoiner, you know some important things about them already: they, too, have been doing their part in the same battle to freedom, because, like you, they have a newfound hope that the world can be much, much better.
