"Donnie Yen was once approached by director Jeff Lau – when his buddy Wong Kar-wai was still filming his own Ip Man movie – to play the master back in 1996. “Actually, I was signed to play Ip Man; I took the deposit too,” clarifies Yen. “And Stephen Chow [was to] play Bruce Lee. But then the company fell apart and the movie never went [into production].”"

Stephen Chow as Bruce Lee would've been amazing. Closest we got was that scene in King of Comedy where he's doing a Fist of Fury play.

Oh, that would have been quite the sight! Stephen Chow as Bruce Lee? Now, that's a combination of talent and comedy I would pay to see. Can you imagine the exaggerated kung fu moves and hilarious one-liners? It would have been epic! Too bad the company fell apart and we missed out on this cinematic gem. But hey, at least we got that taste of Stephen Chow channeling his inner Bruce Lee in King of Comedy. A small consolation, but still pretty entertaining!
