It's the opposite what I'm saying. Even if you go live in a small town in the mountains you still need to trade with the world, because it's better and cheaper and you get things your local community does not produce.

In the age of always more restrictions and regulations on trade yes. With the coming collapse of the us empire people are running for the mountains. But that's a survival temporary solution, not a long term trend.
I think many were forced to move closer to the money centers (cities). In this new "system" the money center is your seed phrase. You don't need to be in a city to earn it or spend it. I have a place in the city. I go there less each month/year. COVID shut downs have fast forwarded that trend.
