within a few years, for many many things, an AI system will be functionally better than a human counterpart

and to that i say, who cares. competing against a machine was never the point of being human

the point of being human is to have the human experience of learning and developing skill and using that skill to express yourself creatively, to build stuff for your enjoyment and others' benefit

and you'll always be able to do that

it doesn't matter if you're the "best" at it or if chatgpt is better than you. who cares. that's an ego game

is a robot stronger and faster than me? yeah. does that mean i shouldn't go to the gym and experience the pleasure of building my body, of course not

is an AI better at writing than me, maybe. who cares. the point of learning to write was to enjoy the experience and create something beautiful

you have to decide what you think a meaningful human experience is to you and then go live it

i don't think AI is going to take that from you. arguably, it will help you do it
