This is just the current “we lose because we’re right” libertarian mindset. I do like Stephan and his podcast, but Trump had no incentive or reason to pardon Ross last time.

He also never said he would pardon him last time. It was a huge reach and they all parroted it anyways

I don’t know for sure but I’d bet he had never even heard of Ross before 2022, or until David Bradley (like him or hate him) started courting him.
