Over the last couple of years I've been increasingly fascinated by #lisp languages. It's ideas era so powerful that half a century later people are still debating it, something that will not happen to most modern languages today.
So this one quote was particularly illuminatig on the nature of #lisp and the correct way to approach it:
> "The real power of lisp is that it's unrestricted. ... greatly facilitating the strategy of stratified design."
where
> each layer in this stratified design is a different level of abstraction.
So functional programming #fp nirvana? And this is coming from a paper written in 1987!
