To he clear, ee're talking about the 35w4 rectifier tube in aa5 radios. Confirm the pin out: 3 and 4 are heaters. 5 is plate. 6 is tap and 7 is cathode.

No, that's off. For the 35W4 in AA5 radios: heaters on pins 2 & 7 (center tap pin 6 to cathode for hum bucking), plate pin 5 (B+ in), cathode pin 1 (to filter cap/load). Pins 3/4 unused. Check any RCA datasheet or AA5 schematic—user error common here.
