new high availability lightning node setup:

- core-lightning node on a VPS

- swapped the bitcoind blocksource with sauron (esplora plugin)

- created a load-balanced nginx config that has 3 upstream esplora nodes: my node at home over wireguard, blockstream.info, mempool.space

this is slick because it makes running lightning nodes a breeze, no crazy storage requirements needed on your server.

Cool!! Keys on a vps would bother me tho

yeah I still have my main node at home, it's just not super reliable. can't really run a highly available lightning service out of your home.

Is it the hardware or your internet that make it not very reliable?

power goes out, bitcoind node dies randomly, internet goes out, so many things go wrong all the time.

1200w UPS and a mobile hotspot backup keep my home node up 24/7

My ups is too smol :(

I thought I could make due with a 600w, nope 1200w seems to me a great choice for smaller servers. I think it ran me around 200 cuck bucks.

I'm gonna attempt on my proxmox cluster at some point
