There is something ... nice, being able to just open all my relays in a nak stream and jq them to filter the outputs a bit and just watch stuff happen in real time - and seing how small Nostr objects really are, even as JSON. Sure, something like MsgPack would be *even* smaller... but honestly, those flat objects with a consistent structure that are easy to model and read, even with the naked eye, is amazing. ^^

Actually, it *was* possible on Twitter.

Back in the day they had a public API endpoint that would just accept a since-parameter and you would periodically query it. You could even make it return your follows only, too.

It is lllllooooonnnnnngggggg gone at this point, but definitively existed. Back then I used a command line client called rainbow to just stream the newest things into a terminal I would tab into - so it was always dense and full of information. ^^

Yeah, I've taken to looking at the raw data and it's always surprising how small it is.
