Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran executed three men at the notorious Urmia Central Prison in northwestern Iran, accusing them of collaborating with Israel’s Mossad. The men — Edris Aali, Azad Shojaei, and Rasoul Ahmad Rasoul — were charged with “Spreading Corruption on Earth and enmity against God” for allegedly working with hostile foreign governments to advance the interests of the “Zionist regime.” Iranian authorities claim the trio smuggled weapons and equipment into the country that were later used by Mossad in the 2020 assassination of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, Iran’s top nuclear scientist.
