Hello everyone, this is my first post here 👋

I am a mobile app developer specialized in making music apps. I wanted to share with all of you a new app I’m launching called Rewind. It’s a concept app about music time travel! You can select any year [1959, 2010] and relive the music of the time.

So I ask you this, if you had to be stuck in one year in music, which one would it be? 🤔

I've used this app and thought it was great. Unfortunately it only plays a sample of songs and only seems to be based on North American music history. It would be much better if it (a) allowed access to an entire song and (b) gave you an historical view of the top 100 songs in your country for a specific year.

Regarding (a), Rewind is just a discovery tool. Every content links to TIDAL, Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube. So if you discover something, you can fully enjoy it in your favorite music streaming app.

Regarding (b), yes of course I would love to expand it to international markets. But at my scale, one person doing all the work, it’ll be a challenge. I hope the more successful Rewind gets the more likely I can grow it bigger!

Yes, but you're forcing the user to leave the app and/or switch multiple times between apps. I understand the difficulties in providing a full streaming service though so this limitation is totally understandable. I fully enjoyed using your app though, it was very well designed and a lot of fun to use.

Yes adding streaming is a challenge but the bigger challenge is what comes with it. Music streaming is a tough business 😅
