Is there a way to “share” a non-nostr-native URL for someone’s post from Damus?

How would this work, like ‘where’ would it take them if post was originally from nostr?

Trying to find a web browser URL for a given note… if one exists…

Ok, but I don’t understand which web browser it would be hosted on? Maybe I’m missing something

There are plenty of browser-accessible nostr clients, like primal.net

I could go to primal.net and create an npub, then view a post and copy its URL, and send the link to someone.

Just trying to figure out if there’s a comparable action within the Damus app

Ah so you mean I need to actually look at my phone 😂

Totally overlooked those bottom options. Thanks 🙏

Gotcha. I tested clicking the ‘Share’ icon at bottom of your message, clicked ‘Copy link’ and pasted into a web browser.. your post appeared in Snort Social, even tho I’m not signed in there at all

Totally missed that but that works! Ty 🫂

Isnt this just the damus.io links? Not sure what you mean.

Maybe? When I tap the … next to a note, I can grab the note ID. Would a “public” (ie web browser friendly) link be Damus.io/noteID ?

I’m trying to figure out how to send someone - via text or email - a web URL to a nostr note, from Damus iOS, if they don’t have a nostr account

I like to update the URL that Damus makes (which uses snort I think) to primal because it will load a preview
