People who seem to stay on nostr are the seekers, those brought in from nosvangelism don't seem to stay. I have no stats to back me up on this, going off vibes here lol, but I'm also 100% correct.

I sorta feel like this about all sorts of evangelism. Maybe 🤔

But yeah, I also feel like there are opportunities for nostr to be found by accident.

Eg 'I found this great new RSS reader, you don't even need an email sign up, it's built on this thing called nostr. Pretty cool.'

That's what our team is focused on. Building professional-quality products that do something *better* than the competition because of Nostr running through them and under them.

It depends but that's a resonable statement. Generally evangelism uses tricks to "sell" the matter that is evangelized. Tricks could leverage information asymmetries. At the end, people join because of some view they were soldz then they quit once they understand the truth.

Vibe checks are more accurate than any of the numbers the beuro of labor and statistics puts out

I am here because it is a Temporary Autonomous Zone. Not terms of privacy, but because it is outside the everyday for now at least. There is some truth to statement first a revolution, than a business, than a racket.

Evangelism is about getting out there and getting in view of the potential seekers.

It plants seeds. People have to hear about something over and over, before it sticks in their head. And then they have some experience, where it suddenly mentally "clicks" and they go off to search, but that click wouldn't have happened, if they hadn't been evangelized over and over.

It's like that with Bitcoin, too. I knew about it for years, before buying any.

I’m definitely seeking… not so much on the social side, I feel like I’ve been through that with the Fediverse but I’m trying new things here (well new to me) and I know I haven’t found the thing I’m looking for yet. For me it’s more about finding a new model for income on a broken internet.

A world where creative people can earn directly for their trade with minimal advertising or surveillance at this stage sounds a little utopian but I’m totally down for that.

Whatever happens I’m going to keep learning.
