I think Manjaro is pretty functional Linux, with some accommodations for people accustomed to mainstream GUI.

I personally like arch based distros other than that I would recommend Debian or Ubuntu

Not really, it has rolling changes so the updates comes often and may break if you don’t know what you are doing- besides that it has amazing documentation which helps a ton.
