MtGox coins have been in bankruptcy proceedings for a decade. Most assuredly, at least some of those owed coins have died. What are the odds that all of the dead have family that will jump through every paperwork hurdle required to get coins repaid. I bet about 0% all will do so.

I wonder how unclaimed funds get dispersed at the end of the day. I bet if you follow the money, death is a big driver behind why they choose to take forever settling the bankruptcy case.
