Never claimed to be the first to have the idea, just the one who popularized it through #footstr and called it “zapvertising” (an obvious name that others likely thought of as well).
I first heard the idea from #[5] who talked about the potential for companies to zap popular notes back in Jan/Feb.
I wrote an article expaining my use of #zapvertising to try and get more companies to bring value to #nostr
