Not quite. Homeschooling was banned by Bismarck in eighteen seventy-four, stayed illegal through the time between Bismarck and the Nazis, and then the Nazis not only kept it illegal but ramped up enforcement and added their own rules to make sure kids went to state-controlled public schools.

Thought you were being potentially misleading saying “implemented” … suggesting they started it and then only afterwards bringing up the Prussians.

- Nazis refined state-sponsored education to fit talking points-driven propaganda
