just logged in mastodon, probably old news but fedi users thru mostrpub cant see replies from other nostr users on thread started by a nostr user, 🤔 unless the thread starter replied on the thread replies.

Do you have an example of this? Usually this sort of thing will relate to who is being followed over the bridge as well as specific to who is being followed from your specific instance.

Yeah this is normal behaviour. You'll notice that one of these users is on a mastodon instance (pegelinux.top) but as long as you and nobody else on your mastodon instance follows them it won't pull their posts down unless they're replying to someone on your instance. It would be a different story if they were replying directly to your mastodon account rather than nostr.
i just wish they could see other nostr users replies not just what its replying to, so nostr would be an actual part of the fediverse
