Title: Understanding CPU Affinity for Virtual Machines in Proxmox

In today's data centers, managing multiple cores and NUMA (Non-Uniform Memory Access) nodes is crucial for improving virtual machine performance. Linux provides the numactl tool to show NUMA node information, but VMs don't have knowledge of the NUMA node and core layout. To avoid NUMA migration and improve VM performance, CPU affinity can be used to bind the VM to specific cores and NUMA nodes. Proxmox offers a CPU affinity feature for this purpose.
