Does blossom compress media?

It claims that server shouldn't change the file content.

No because the hash would change, but nip96 does allow it
But the Blossom only a spec. Maybe some implements will add compress function to handle images.
no, but there isn't anything stopping a blossom server from offering an alternative endpoint like `/optimize` that would compress media and return the new hash
The important part IMO is that the users consent to the media being optimized, and that its not the default
