Sentencing needs more focus. End mass incarceration and compounding sentencing.

Once you realize that everyone is a felon, you accept that freedom is most in jeopardy from draconian sentencing, high imprisonment rates, and ludicrously-high fines.
or just from everything being illegal
gives the state infinite discretion about who they can arrest whenever they want

Americans are all thirsting for the death penalty and I'm like,

liberal left-wing Americans who live in cities like lots of rules because your toes get stepped on a lot when you live in a big city
right wing rural Americans like lots of laws that enforce some kind of moral compass that they learned about in a church they still dream of going to
nobody ever deletes laws although some candidates talk about it
so the state gets bigger until eventually it topples over and kills 10% of the population in what is called a civil war
the infinite funding from this police state ultimately comes from "broken money"
but the moral funding, the emotional funding, comes from the human desire for someone else to fix your problems for you
They always say they want it for treason or child abuse, or whatever gets people riled up.
But give them a hammer and everything will start to look like a nail.
