do we ever have enough?

feel like my brain's programmed into a constant state of "more"

just an inevitability of a consumeristic and capitalistic society?

More of what

Everything, I feel like my brain constantly readjusts further whatever carrot I'm currently chasing

🤷‍♂️

I only want more of 1 thing (I think you know what that is) and everything else is more of replacement of consumables (things getting used up or worn out, breaking etc).

I’m curious what other things people want more of 🤔

i assume your talking about sats, but maybe...

more time with their family?

Correct 😂

Talking about material things. Plenty of time with family already

Oh, you're rather fortunate then, really happy for you 💜

More monitors, typefaces and new quirky tech gadgets

Contentment is an inexhaustible treasure - Arabic Proverb.

gratitude keeps you happy about what you have

wanting more keeps you something to work towards to and a purpose

maybe?

Just out here having fun!

what do you do for fun? 🤔

Sack sats, play sports, shitpost and spend time with friends

that's a beautiful life brother

I'm blessed. Grateful everyday. Positive is the only way to live. I hope you've been well too!

Definitely so 🤗

What's keeping you so positive and grateful? Would be curious to learn how you think about mindset and attitude overall

It's all the simple things. Family, friends, Bitcoin. I've always been a pretty positive person, I think that my parents showed me that you can always choose to be positive even if things aren't great.

And if you can stay positive when things are real bad, you can feel incredible when things are good.

I'm glad you've been well! It's been a wild few years.

That's beautiful, well done to your parents on teaching you that 🤗

It really truly has been

Carrot on a stick? Can't seem to catch it? Stuck in a loop?

yes. one day you will have had enough.

😂

ohh, I have seen and listened a bunch of his podcasts, but this episode looks new to me

perfect 🤗

"Capitalistic" not so much. I mean, knowing history i would strongly argue that "capitalism" has been coined as an antisemitic slur without clear meaning. Theres a reason people can call even the USA where private property was abolished in 1787 can be called "capitalist" despite the high praises Marx had for it in his lifetime as well as Engels egging on its imperialist war on mexico...
